Erica + Justin, Southern Lea Farms, Chipley Florida Wedding
A beautiful couple, one Corgi + a dancing grandma... this wedding had it all.. plus some.
Southern Lea Farms is always one of my favorite places, and Kirby Holt with Blossoms Chipley, FL damn sure knows how to make it even more gorgeous!!! From the flowers to the cake, to the food and the dancing.. it was def a day to remember and one I am glad I got to be a part of!
Erica slayed in her long sleeve gown from Essence of Australia and her bridesmaids looked damn good in their dresses from David’s Bridal, but even though the groomsmen had a lot to compete with... they were all lookin spiffy in their Men’s Wearhouse suits.
After the girls got ready, and the guys were good to go, we kicked things off with a lil first look, jumped right into some couples portraits.. then got the family all wrapped up before they even walked down the aisle.... so as soon as they said "I DO!" the party got started thanks to the best wedding DJ around, DJ Vladi!
Honestly, it was a hell of a good time. The food was on point, Mission BBQ Tallahassee, the cake was bomb, Cakes by Melody Wade ... and the drinks didn't stop.. so of course the dance floor was packed haha!! Everyone was just so happy, happy for Erica + Justin, happy to be there, happy to dance, and happy to eat... one big ole happy day. lol
How did you two meet/love story?
"We met while living next door to each other in college. One night I was out walking my roommate’s dog and Justin was on his back porch with some of his friends. I had just baked from-scratch chocolate chip cookies and there were too many for me and my roommates to eat by ourselves. So I called out to say that he and his friends should come over when we walked by his apartment. And they did!" - Erica
Why did you choose me + How was it having me as your photographer?
"I first contacted you because I was blown away by how absolutely gorgeous all of your pictures are. The bright, vibrant colors and the sweetest moments that you capture on camera were a true selling point. After our first exchange of e-mails, before I’d even decided to hire you, I knew there was no one else on this planet but you to photograph our wedding day. You were absolutely more than I could have possibly imagined. You were a blast to have there the day of, you made us all feel comfortable in our pictures, and all of the pictures are absolutely gorgeous. I could not imagine anyone more perfect to be a wedding photographer than you!" - Erica
Any advice for other couples getting married?
"To start, they need to hire Kiersten Grant Photography – regardless of where they’re getting married. You are THE BEST! Then, to enjoy the process. There is a lot of stress involved in planning a wedding – several times I thought that I’d wished we would’ve just eloped. But I honestly would not trade any moment of that process because of how perfect that day was. To be surrounded by our friends and family, and celebrating with the man I love was absolute magic."
